Vulnerable exposure

"Hello?" "Christine, this is my one phone call..." So many emotions rushed back filling me until they spewed out into the room. The air instantly thickened as the dial tone rang in my ear. Soon the operator was asking if Id like to make a call to please hang up and try again. My legs were heavy and it took all my strength to escape the constant beeping of the phone which had hit my kitchen floor. My world numbed into deafening silence, only his words echoed, vibrating my very essence. I could no longer hold in all the years of pain. Collapsing to my knees tears poured into my lap. When morning broke I was still curled up in a ball in the corner of the kitchen. Three little words passed my lips, spoken in a whisper but more powerful than God.

Tales of a housewife.

I ran upstairs to the boys bedroom praying theyd still be awake. Filling the room was a grande duet of snores, my heart sank. The cats roused by my hopping up the stairs meowed around my feet. My heart raced with excitement, I brought them into the basement. I set them down by the folding table in the laundry room praying theyd alleviate my problem. How could they not see it???? They turned up their noses and tails trotting off after their jingle balls. Grrr...I went for the tissue, my whole body cringed as the icky hairy creepy crawley in my basement smooshed between my fingers.
