No White Flag Editorial

No White Flag was born on July 4,2004. To be quite simple and straight forward, No White Flag consists of two emcee's that
dare to speak the truth. What is truth? Truth is the opposite of falsehood. Truth brings forth freedom. Truth has many different forms and mutated forms,
but truth none the less is consistent to an extent. It is our desire to bring forth truth as we know it to the forefront of the Hip Hop community.

No White Flag was conceived out of a mutual desire of two friends ,commonly known as JClazzified and Jimbo, to resurrect the culture of Hip Hop,if you will.
A few random words that describe these two individuals collectively are: innovative, poetic, abstract, complexed, transparent, sincere, and relevant.

No White Flag also tends to ponder the perception of: christianity, love/lust, racism, whack mcs, music, salary, girls, government, gas prices, war without reason, judgement,
condemnation, community, heart, politics, minds, people, and women.

No White Flag has a wide variety of musical taste. As artists they do not confine or restrict themselves to listening only to the music of Hip Hop.
The following musicians inspite of their genre are in some way or another influential artists in the very lives of No White Flag.

In no specified order...
Black Star, Common, Keith Green, Miles Davis, LMNO, David Bazan, The Tunnel Rats, Sufjan Stevens, Binary Star, Ella Fitzgerald, The Dungeon Family, Bjork, Masta Ace, John Legend,
C-Rayz Walz, Felt (Slug & Murs), Deep Space 5, Bob Dylan, Brother Ali, Elliott Smith, The Perceptionists, Regina Spektor, The Remnant, Johnny Cash, Boot Camp Clik, Vetiver,
Soul Position, Aesop Rock, The Wu-Tang Family, Cannibal Ox, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, and GangStarr.

Like every other living breathing organism No White Flag also enjoys blessing their taste buds. Random places within the Anne Arundel County area of Maryland you may
find them at are Panera, Chipotle, Taco Bell, and Howard's Subway.

No White Flag is influenced and inspired by the very world around them. Whether it be people, places, or things. One quote from a poet, one memorable line from a movie,
one emotion that you experience on any given sunday, and great meal that you enjoyed with an amazing circle friends can help you create timeless music.

A few of the movies No White Flag has been known to frequent are...

In no specified order...
The Star Wars Epic, Vanilla Sky, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, V. For Vendetta, Four Brothers, I <3 Huckabees,
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, 8 Mile, Requiem For A Dream, The Basketball Diaries, Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2, Coach Carter, The Matrix Trilogy,
Garden State, Beautiful Girls, Blue Chips, A Scanner Darkly, Click, Hero, Hackers, Me, You and Everyone We Know, Squid and The Whale,
Dead Presidents, Crash, Sideways, Zebrahead, and Little Miss Sunshine. (Well you get the 'motion' picture.)

Now that you have a better understanding of WHO No White Flag is, WHAT they stand for, WHY the exist, WHERE they are from, you also now know how to reach them...

Beautiful Poetry.

This is rap with a concious,Hip Hop for the Soul,
Similes like Kweli on Some Kinda Wonderful,
I rode the train of thought while I fought for equality- some say for too long,
It was the beautiful struggle that made a weak man strong,
A strong man becomes weak when writes each song,
7 days a week I'm tryna right each wrong,
And right about now I've found my joy within the zone,

You gotta work hard to box out before you get the rebound,
You can impact the game without havin to score or promotin your name,
He came to do his job, steal the ball pass the rock and let the jock be the snob,
He was the MVP but scored less than me,the most valuable poet on the m-i-c.
